Journeys with Purpose (JWP) offers unique, ethical adventure travel experiences that make a meaningful impact. Founded by Carla Geyser, the visionary behind the Blue Sky Society Trust (BSST), our trips are crafted to combine thrilling adventures with conservation efforts. Carla has expertly led numerous successful excursions across Africa, and now, she invites you to join these transformative journeys.
If you’re an enthusiastic adventurer, who values conservation and embraces life’s spontaneity, JWP trips will be perfect for you! Our expeditions unite like-minded individuals from around the globe, focusing on supporting wildlife initiatives and raising essential funds for conservation projects along the way.
Expect action-packed adventures with a purpose, where you’ll connect deeply with nature, support vital conservation work, and enjoy every moment. Each trip is a one-of-a-kind experience, tailored to small groups for a more personal touch. Space is limited, and we encourage solo travelers, although you’re welcome to bring a friend or family member.
Our trips emphasize personal connection, conservation, and fun—arrive as strangers, leave as friends. Each journey is unique and only happens once a year, so don’t miss out! We prioritize safety, ethical travel practices, and responsible choices. Pack your sense of humor and adventure, and get ready for an unforgettable experience in some of Africa’s most beautiful places.
Journeys with Purpose combines ethical adventure travel in Africa with fundraising and giving back. Our expeditions each year are exhilarating and filled with adventure, fun and doing good.
Imagine the stories you could tell your grandchildren one day! Stories of exploring Mama Africa’s exquisite beauty and how you helped save lives! If this is a chapter you would like to write, then please find out more below. These expeditions often involve driving long distances over bumpy dusty roads, camping in remote areas, and at times being without cell service for days and of course loads of giving back through hands-on charity work. This is not a tour but rather a team expedition, and every member of the team is expected to pitch in with cooking, cleaning, camp set up etc. It is the experience of a lifetime, and we would love to have exploratory fun-filled compassionate spirits along for the ride. Are you up for the challenge? This is a LIMITED entry journey, which means only a few people get to experience this unforgettable never to be repeated experience. We only want the deserving to join us, legends who will be remembered for their awesomeness, and ability to go with whatever comes their way, and above all, those able to create smiles and good vibes out of thin air! Africa also teaches you how to take on situations with a bit of a sense of humour.
