JWP AQUA EARTH

WHAT IF YOU STOPPED WAITING?

You've spent decades putting everyone else first. Your children, your parents, your partner, your work. You've been the planner, the organiser, the one who makes everything run smoothly for everyone else. But something's shifted, hasn't it? Maybe your nest is emptying. Maybe you've lost someone who mattered. Maybe you're just tired of waiting for "someday."
What if someday was May?

Β

THIS ISN’T A SAFARI WHERE YOU TICK OFF THE BIG FIVE AND MOVE ON.

This is two weeks where you stop performing, stop managing, stop being everything to everyone – and remember who you are in the process.

Six women.

No Instagram pressure.

No over scheduling.

Just you, the African wilderness, and the space to finally breathe.

Aqua Earth 15 days | South Africa & Botswana & Mozambique | April 28 - May 12, 2027

THE THING IS: IT JUST HAPPENS.

You don’t have to work at it. You don’t have to journal or do yoga or follow a schedule. The transformation happens when you’re sitting on your tent porch watching elephants for two hours straight. When you’re around the campfire having conversations you never have at home. When you realize you’ve gone three days without checking your phone and you don’t even care.

Erika sat watching elephants and felt something shift: “That moment – this real harmony connection, really slowing down –that was one of the biggest moments of change for me.”

Ilse described it this way: “Life hurts and nature heals. That’s what I felt immediately.”

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO:

Lone Tree Wilderness Camp, Botswana

Sleep in tents with elephants wandering past at night. No fences or other tourists. Just you, the women you’re travelling with, and the wilderness. This is where women say they found themselves.

The Tuli Block & Greater Kruger AREA

Game drives where you’re not fighting 100 other vehicles for a glimpse. Bush walks. Ancient rock art sites. Community visits. All at a pace that lets you absorb what you’re experiencing.

VILANKULOS, MOZAMBIQUE

Vilankulos is a relaxed coastal base for exploring Mozambique’s Bazaruto Archipelagoβ€”think pristine beaches, snorkelling coral reefs, island hopping, and encounters with dolphins, turtles, and dugongs, all set within a vital marine conservation area.

CONSERVATION EXPERIENCE – BE PART OF THE WORK, NOT JUST A VISITOR

This is not a passive safari or a lecture on conservation β€” you will be actively involved in real fieldwork alongside dedicated conservation teams.

You will take part in wildlife telemetry tracking, learning how researchers monitor animals with GPS collars and tracking systems. You’ll also gain behind-the-scenes exposure to veterinary wildlife work, observing how conservation vets assess, treat, and protect animals in the field.

A key part of the experience is understanding how real conservation operates on the ground β€” from data collection and monitoring to intervention and protection efforts in fragile ecosystems. Your journey also directly supports conservation efforts through donations and contributions to ongoing projects, ensuring your visit has a measurable impact on wildlife protection.

No schedule, no pressure

Some days you’ll say “I don’t want to do anything. I just want to sit and watch elephants.” And that’s exactly what you’ll do. That’s the point.

Meet your expedition leader

I’ve been doing this since 2012. I’m South African, know every inch of this landscape, and I’m vigilant about safety in a way you’ll never have to think about.

Women who travel with me say I have their back. That I have it all figured out.

But here’s what really matters: I create space for you to just be. I don’t overschedule and I certainly don’t force Instagram moments.

Erika, who’s already booked her third trip with me, put it this way:

“There’s never a feeling you have to be doing anything.”

What I see on every trip is this:
women learning to breathe again.

When you’ve been carrying everyone else’s needs for years – when you’ve forgotten what it feels like to just be –
becoming to Africa changes something. That first real breath. That’s the moment I live for.

Women leave my trips changed. Then they come back. Then they bring their friends.

That’s what I’m here for – to help you find that first breath.

This trip is for you if:

β€’ You’re over 50 and wondering “what now?”
β€’ You’ve always dreamed of Africa but thought it was “too late” or “too far”
β€’ You’re divorced or widowed and thought you’d travel with a partner, but life had other plans
β€’ You’re an empty nester with space in your life for the first time in decades
β€’ You care deeply about conservation and want to contribute, not just observe
β€’ You’re tired of mainstream tourism and want something real
β€’ You’re an introvert who needs solo time but also craves meaningful connection
β€’ You’re ready to stop waiting for “someday”

This trip is NOT for you if:

β€’ You need luxury 5-star accommodation (this is comfortable but rustic)
β€’ You want constant WIFI and Instagram updates
β€’ You need everything scheduled and structured
β€’ You’re not comfortable with basic fitness (you’ll need to climb in/out of safari vehicles)
β€’ You want a big group (this is intimate – only 6 guests)

But what about…

Safety?

I’m vigilant. Constantly. Women who travel with me – including introverts and first-time solo travellersΒ  – all say the same thing: β€œI never felt unsafe.” As one traveller put it, β€œCarla’s constantly aware. There’s no way anything would happen to anybody.”

That’s my job, and I take it seriously.

Travelling alone?

You’re not aloneΒ  – you’re with 5 other women who get it. And here’s what makes it special: β€œYou feel very comfortable talking about whatever you want to talk about because they’re not going to go home and tell your friends. It’s not going anywhere past your little circle around the fire pit.”

Being away from family?

Many women on my trips have children, grandchildren, aging parents. Ilsa left her teenagers behind (they told her β€œjust go and enjoy your dream”). Erika has 5 children and 4 grandchildren. They went anyway. They don’t regret it.

The cost?

One woman went back to school to earn more money so she could afford my trips. She’s been three times and is going for a fourth. β€œYou better regret something you did than what you didn’t,” she says. She even tattooed β€œDream. Believe. Dare. Do.” on her back.

Women who’ve done these trips don’t regret the money. They regret they waited so long.
