Many of us take trees for granted: the beauty they add to an environment, and the welcome shade that they provide in the heat. Summer can be particularly brutal at low-income schools in KwaZulu-Natal, where there are no trees and children have to spend lunch breaks in the blazing sun. Our Trees4KZN project is aimed at increasing the provinceโs tree count to improve quality of life at schools. Of course, planting more trees is also a sustainable way to combat the effects of environmental pollution. Weโd like to see more people involved in this crucial project.
